>Just a quick note from us ‘babes’ to say Happy St Patricks Day to all those celebrating today.
Not forgetting a belated Happy St Patricks Day to everyone who celebrated on Saturday!
>Last Sunday saw me heading off to Camden with the ‘Tall Cool Gang’ for an afternoon and evening of entertainment at the Lock Tavern, provided by Groove Armada for the launch of the Late Night Tales album Are “Friends” Electric?
The day got off to a good start, with us arriving in Camden just as the heavens opened, so we headed into the indoor market. After commenting that I’d never been to Camden during the day before, it was decided I should be taken to CyberDog. Without a doubt the most bizarre shop I’ve been into in my life, with a podium dancer, neon glowing clothes and ‘cybered up’ mannequins.
The plan of action then, was to head for ‘the tarted up boozer’ ready for the festivities. By the time we made it upstairs it had already kicked off, drinks were flowing, tunes were pumping and already the place was heaving….it was about 4pm….
Then came the helium balloons…everywhere…obviously being the shy and quite type, I managed to nab myself 2, which I then guarded closely from balloon thieves.
Soon enough, the entrance queue had formed, the bar staff were posing in between serving, the dancing had begun in earnest and drinks were spilled…and I now have a lovely ribena colour stain down the back of the white top I had on. Nice. I can’t go without mentioning the guy in the headband who kept jumping around, providing more entertainment!
A great time was had by all, the music was great and the album is definitely worth a buy. I managed to keep both my balloons and get them home safely, which was a bonus. Plus, it’s the only place I’ve ever been to where the queue for the gents’ loos was double the size of the ladies queue! My only one complaint would be the helium. Me thinks it may have been below quality, as they were sadly floating about an inch above the floor in the morning…I’m sure they always used to last longer than that. Or helium just isn’t what it used to be.

>One year ago today two of our colleagues and friends, Paul (PDA) and Kathryn, were tragically killed in an accident while on their way to a holiday in the Caribbean. Kathryn was one of the original fluxbabes and took part in many photoshoots and shows over the years, and Paul himself even got infront of the camera on a couple of occasions, shy soul that he was!
It wouldn’t be fitting to have a sombre occasion as they were both the life and soul of the party, so today at the office we will be releasing balloons in their honour. We will also be giving away several bottles of bacardi and coke in a horse racing themed competition – their favorite drink combined with a much loved hobby!
So, raise a bacardi and coke for Kathryn and PDA – you are sorely missed.

After hearing the girls who have entered our Flux Factor competition, were asked why they wanted to be a FluxBabe, it got me thinking – why is it great to be a FluxBabe? Here are some of the reasons I came up with…
Don’t forget to vote for your favourite girls in out hunt for some new FluxBabes!
