Happy Friday!
It’s that time of year again – spring has finally sprung and the show season is about to start. Sammi and I are heading down to Sandown for the Volksworld Show this weekend with our friends from VWISVolksworld Insurance Services.

VWIS will be offering some great deals at the show – visitors can get instant quotes and arrange their insurance on the day! As well as discounts for limited mileage and being a member of an owners club you can even get an extra £25 discount by taking your policy out there and then. Even if your insurance isn’t due now – pop over and see how much you could save, you will even receive a squidgy beetle keyring!

Being a bit of a VW fan I’m really looking forward to this weekend – even if we do get stalked by the daleks again!! If you’re heading to the show too – make sure you pop over and say hi…
Have a great weekend!

>Egypt 2010

21 Mar

>Ok so i was quite the lucky girl when i recieved for my 21st an all inclusive 5 star holiday to Sharm el Sheikh from my boyfriend….My birthday being in Decemeber i waited a long 3 months until we could finally go!
So when march Finally arrived i packed my suitcase and off we went…

5 Hours later on a very bumpy flight we arrived in Egpyt, The weather was gorgeous everyday and the hotel had 2 pools aswell as its own waterpark!

During my stay the oppertunity arose to swim with dolphins, something ive wanted to do for about 10 years ever since i visited Australia and never got the chance so i quickly snapped it up and it was the most amazing part of our week. Alongside this we quad biked through the egyptian dessert where we were surrounded by the locals who live there and a few camels! We also went snorkelling and i must say Egypt has the most amazing fish and underwater life, defiantely worth doing!

Overall i would say Egypt was my best holiday yet and i would definately go back, Heres a few pictures of our trip and i hope you all have a lovely summer wherever you go..

>The Babes Do Sport Relief!

WE DID IT!!!

Following on from charlies last blog we finally completed the Sainsburys Sport relief mile challenge!
The girls set off all prepared in our Flux tops teamed with trainers and we all looked quite the sportswomen (this was deffinately not an event for our usual outfits!) As you can see below in true fluxbabe tradition we arrived early to fit in a quick photoshoot before the gun to start was triggered!…..

The line up was made up with Myself ( Megan) Charlie Emma Janine and Kayleigh doing 3 miles each… Kim doing 1 mile and the brave girls that are Penny and Sammi did a whopping 6 miles each!! I must admit with a bottle of water in hand surrounded by many budding athletes and children we were ready to what we thought ‘wizz around that track’… With a 10am set off the girls started alongside the many people racing in Kings Lynn at a steady pace, the 6 mile girls stormed ahead with ipod in ear where as the rest of us trailed steadily behind to what we thought was going to be an easy few laps!!..
Amongst the crowds stood the mayor and a few photographers from the local paper aswell as parents chearing along the track, Also amongst us doing the mile were people running with pushchairs, young, old and even a clown! Everyone was really doing their bit!

Those of us doing the 3 miles completed it in about 30minutes and we were all so proud of ourselves, the 6 mile girls came in at about the 60 minute mark so a big pat on the back was well deserved to everyone!! Overall i think we’d all agree not your average sunday but a good day was had by all and the sun carried on shining as we headed to te beer garden for a well deserved drink!!

The current total raised so far is £29,323, 818.. and thats without our girls support so well done everyone and keep doing your bit for Sport Relief 2010!

We have registered for the Sport Relief Mile!!

If you listen to radio 1 I’m sure many of you have already heard a lot about the million pound bike ride that took place last week? or Eddies Marathon a day? Or maybe even seen “Let’s dance for Sport Relief”? Well the Fluxbabes have decided to get involved too and take part in our local mile, 3 miles or for the uber fit girls – 6miles!
We’ve set a target of £300 to raise between us – so far, our colleagues at Flux HQ have been very generous, but if you would like to make a small donation please visit our sport relief team page – we would be very grateful for any amount given!
All the money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both at home and across the world’s poorest countries

The mile takes place in a couple of weeks – so we will keep you posted on our progress!
Lots of Love
From the Girls x
