The Monkey Forest is set in 60 acres of beautiful woodland and meadows where 140 monkeys run completely free. You are taken into the Barbary Macaques fascinating world as you hear rustling in the trees, chattering in a strange language and see the monkeys crashing through branches. Walking along the path you feel as though you are in a different world!!

The park rangers were so friendly and keen to give you all the information about the Monkeys. The Monkeys are Barbary Macaques and live in the Atlas mountains of Algeria and Morocco. There are two groups of monkeys at the Monkey Forest. One group live at the bottom of hill and the other at the top. They do not mix only for the males to mate. The two groups come from existing parks in France and Germany, the monkeys have lived all their lives in  a similar setting.   When I visted the forest they had  13 babies and 1 new born, only 2 weeks old. He was so cute and I loved watching them play and tease each other!! Unfortunately this species of monkey are now on the red list and classed as endangered due to loss of its natural habitat, so it is amazing to see so many little babies. I recommend it to anyone who loves seeing animals run free and completely happy

The atmopshere was buzzing and the sun shining certaintly helped. These guys with their amazing cars have been waiting all Winter for the opportunity to show off their pride and joy and they definitely succeeded.  The cars were great. We also annouced the winner of the best owners club award and handed the trophy and the prizes over. I had the wonderful opportunity to take seat in a 600 BHP Skyline for a few parade laps around the track – that was definitely the highlight of the day for me!!!.  We all had a fab time and met some really great people. Hopefully see you all again next year!!!

Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay  teamed up with our honourary Fluxbabe Sarah Bennett-Baggs recently in the Future Classics series, driving the distinctive pink Porsche sponsored by Adrian Flux. Unfortunately though, he was forced off the track at Snetterton on Saturday when the engine of his classic Porsche 911 caught fire!

The pair qualified in 22nd place on the 42-car grid after a wet test day on the Friday in the 1978 Porsche’s first outing after a heavy start-line accident at Castle Combe in 2008.

After a good start, things started to unravel when the rain came and Sarah had to contend with a windscreen wiper failure.
After 23 minutes, she handed over to the rockstar racer, who has a private collection of more than 30 cars, but a short circuit sparked an electrical fire, causing a loss of power before flames brought an early end to their race.

Thankfully the car was not too badly damaged and will be ready in time for Sarah’s next race at Brand’s Hatch.

After too many glasses of wine the next stop was the dance floor where we busted out some shapes along with the lovely Janine, gorgeous Steph, Ex Fluxbabe cutie Jade and my other stunning friends .  Roll on the next night out with the girls!!!

So I went on holiday to Corfu a few months ago for a relaxing break, no clubs, no drinking - just to chill. Sounds boring but was lovely apart from the rain at the beginning of the week!! Went on a beautiful glass bottom boat trip to a secluded beach, which can only be reached by sea. Spent the whole day sunbathing and enjoying the lush BBQ and odd glass of wine

The rest of the holiday was great too and the hotel we stayed in was really friendly. Had a trip over to Albania for the day – wasn’t the best but it was worth a look.

Corfu was a really pretty place…. Ive been to Rhodes and another Greek Island (cant remember the name of it….might be Zante or Crete?) and

Corfu is definitely the best for scenery.

Us Girls were all lucky enough to meet you guys at various shows and we’re all raring for 2012!

Anyway, Me being extremely lucky received for Christmas a Trip to New York… 3 Nights, 4 Days and a once in a lifetime amazing experience

 So, setting off at 3am in my little Audi we headed for Heathrow and in every tradition headed straight to the pub…For breakfast of course!

With our flight leaving at 9.00am and my first experience with Virgin Airline I was so very excited! As we boarded I realised I stepped into All you can drink, Personal headsets with new release films, music, comedy and a very cosy seat with my own blanket and pillow. Other than Australia when I was a lot younger I haven’t travelled long hall very much ( you might tell )

 So with Seven or so hours ahead of me I tucked in to my glass of wine… not so yummy plane food ( you either love it or loathe it ) and made my way through the likes of ‘Idiot Abroad’ ,’The Inbetweeners Movie’ , ’30Minutes or less’ and various other entertainment. With only a slight bit of turbulence my flight was very enjoyable I must say!

 Next stop 12.00pm JFK Airport NYC

Day 1.

Landing in New York, Travelling through the Hustle and bustle all felt a little surreal…It felt as though it could have been London yet a little Busier. However Arriving at the Hotel-The Hilton, smack Bang in Times Square things soon started getting exciting. Standing 20 floors up in a personal suite with a direct view of Times Square I watched the real City that Never sleeps.

 ‘Oh my Word, I was in New York City/Manhattan/Concrete Jungle/The place of dreams’ Eeeeeeeek!’

 Day 2.

Typical Tourist…. Headed straight to South Ferry, Hit the Subway and jumped on that Boat to see the Lady herself ‘The Statue Of Liberty’ She was however not as large as I first anticipated yet still a wonder in my eyes. So, as we made our way about the island, Grabbed souvenirs and hopped back on that boat we then set on foot for Brooklyn Bridge… For those of you that are not familiar its that massive thing you see in most pictures when typing in New York – See below.

 So much to my feet’s disgust we walked the whole of Brooklyn bridge, However there was light at the end of the tunnel as in Brooklyn lye The best Pizza place in NYC- Grimaldi’s.. And Boy was it good!

After one whole Margarita pizza we headed to find the Subway which coincidently was nowhere to be seen, so with this in mind we headed back across the Manhattan Bridge. When back across the water we headed through the likes of China town and Little Italy then straight on the Subway heading back to Times Square itself.

 After a long day of sightseeing and plenty of pizza I slept like a baby on my first night.

 Day 3.

This was the day of shopping…. Macys, Blooming dales or ‘Bloomies’ , Zara, Toys R Us ( probably the biggest one you’ve ever seen- it has its own Ferris wheel)’ and various other shops. We also discovered whilst being quite thirsty an amazing little Store called ‘Dylan’s Candy Bar’ its consisted of a Bar,Safe, Store and amazing dessert pizzas! This was indeed a find. here’s a little in site into what to expect if you should ever come across one…

 So evening sprung and whilst in Nyc we thought a Musical was a must- With no Lion King tickets available my boyfriend sprung some Chicago’s tickets on me so we headed out for some cocktails, grub and a lovely evening at the theatre!

 Day 4.

 So the Last day was upon us and after a lovely catch up and coffee with my High school friend Tom who now works in Times Square we headed off for the usual Pancakes, bagels, Bacon, Cream Cheese Combo.

The Empire state building was the last landmark to see of course so we headed up the 86 floors to the viewing tower and I gazed across the busy yet quite peaceful from such a height city. It really was a concrete Jungle and a dream trip for me!

 After a few more shops, Central Park and a visit to Fao Schwartz we headed back for that what seemed forever flight home.

Now after last years fright night i was prepared for someone chasing me with a pole- a scary clown or a few sound effects, oh how wrong i was! With a little jump in my heartbeat and covering my arms up with a jacket ( as if this was going to help with what i was about to experience) we made our way in hands on the shoulders in front of us- i was second from the front as this cancelled out the chance of me being taken from the back( it hd been said one of us ay go missing). As we walked through darkness- screeching sounds of wheels turning-axes dropping- actors with hair so long i thought id trodden on it getting in my face and some unknown creature touching my neck ( yes they touch you) i held my eyes shut for aproximently 4 out of these 5 rooms we entered and i hated every second-

The rest of the rides however pleased as usual-ice cream was shared-and fun was had all round for the rest of the day

Anyway enough of the bad experiences- onto my new experience, Paint balling!

Our second trip this year was a majority vote for running around the woods shooting at each other, Dubious at first however always wanting to try it i joined in on the fun and was not disappointed.

Now i think the fear originates from the pictures of bruises, stories or dislocated fingers and fear or being on my own against a gun full of paint! This was not the case however- in our two teams myself and my various colleges headed out to battle for the flag!

During my paint balling experience i only got shot twice which in my eyes was brilliant- The first being the initial game so just getting used to the surroundings and objectives. The second was being the last girl standing and lets face It had nothing to lose so took a massive leap for the flag and unfortunately got knocked down by a glowing yellow ball of paint- Overall though we conquered and our team won outof the 5 games. I would recommend highly for a team building exercise as colleagues, friends or even as a family trip 10/10 for fun!

-I think my blonde hair kind of gave my game away!

Now if your anything like me and just love the build up to Christmas you’ll appreciate this post. The top 10 Christmas fluxbabe films of all time..

Now my ultimate No1 on the list has got to be ‘Elf’- The human sized Elf let lose in the city, falling in love, finding his real dad, introducing spaghetti with syrup to the world and saving Christmas-whats not to like!

Falling closely behind at No2 is ‘The Grinch’- again a classic in my books as I’m a big kid at heart the Grinch stole mine straight away with his peculiar look and scrooge like actions its definitely one to watch!

No.3 has to be the classic that is ‘Home alone’… A family classic.

No.4 I’m throwing out one that seems to have been dusted over for a while-’Gremlins’, another classic in my books.Although a little scary as a child, the fact that after this film released came Furbys-The children’s talking/purring/fury/pastel coloured very own Gremlin,it now seems harmless!

No.5 ‘A miracle on 34th street’- the classic of all classics this was released in 1947 and the academy award winning film of all time still plays every Christmas worldwide without a doubt.

My No.6 ‘The nightmare before Christmas’-This features jack the skeleton who many of you may know mostly sings his way though the film- Another good light hearted watch.

No.7 ‘The holiday’- Featuring Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz… A snowy country cottage, Two couples that fall in love when least expected, a cosy warm and very Christmas spirited film.

No.8. ‘The Santa Claus’- need i say more!

No.9. ‘Muppet’s Christmas Carol’- A family sing a long for Christmas eve, its a no brain-er really..

Now my No.10 is a film my father mentioned to me last week ‘It’s A Wonderful life’  Even though Ive never seen this film however rumour has it its worth a watch so I’m including it in my list to make sure i watch it this year and finish my top 10 of with an all time classic.

So this years Fireworks weekend resulted in a trip to London for myself… with a cheeky day off on the Friday myself and a very close friend headed to the big smoke my weekend bags in hand. With a quick trip to Oxford street and a very yummy lunch at prezzo we then made our way to Disney HQ to meet our third and final London Bound Friend.

After a much needed catch up and few drinks we headed on to 2011′s Disney firework display, Now when i say we made the fireworks what i actually mean is we chatted way too much, Drank way too much and ended up having a night out in good old Putney. So the truth of the matter is i didn’t actually see any fireworks this year, Not even a measly Sparkler touched my fingers.

However, as the song goes.. I hope you all remembered the 5Th of November and made the sky light up for those of us that didn’t get to see the sparkle.

Moving on, first day out of the way..It then set upon us that the real reason i travelled to the Big smoke that weekend was approaching Fast- Alan Carrwith his new stand up Spexy Beast. For anyone who doesn’t know Mr Carr here is a sneak preview of the tour itself..http://youtube/3lGL9U8ItBg

Now as a  regular viewer of Alans show Chatty man where in each episode he interviews a different celebrity, gives them a tipple or three then proceeds to have me in stitches, His stand up act was a new experience for myself..

Now to anyone who hasn’t seen standup live i would recommend Alan as my first choice, alongside the likes of the other Carr, Jimmy who i saw last year. Its ones not to miss i assure you! sitting among thousands at the O2 there was not a second where i did not feel a chuckle inside me.. The funniest by far and i know ill definitely be asking for the DVD for Christmas
