Well It time to say goodbye and do my last blog as a Fluxbabe. Unfortunately due to some health probelms I wont be able to carry out my Fluxbabes duties any longer :( but its been so much fun!
Well it all started with this picture that I took to enter the competition back in 2007 for you all to vote on who would be the next fluxbabe and I was picked with 4 other Beauties to become the of the new Fluxbabes.
When it came round to Rockingham French car show I was so nervous, we all got in a mini bus and made our way to this fantastic hotel and had a lovely meal. The next morning was the day of the show and I was going crazy with nerves, but once I got there and got in the outfit with all the other beautiful ladies I felt more relaxed and had so much fun. Here are a few pictures...............
Here is all of us
Here is just me Me and some of the other girlsUs outside the Flux stand having some pictures taken I was lucky enough to get choosen for the 2009 Fluxbabe calender which was a fantastic day, its was excellent, we got the the shoot and we had out make-up and hair done (which I loved), here are a few pictures ....................................
This is the make-up that we had done, I love the red lips.
Gemma, Me, Laura and ClaireThis was in the Calender I was March. And this is Me, Laura, Gemma and Claire.. we were all December. Then my Fluxbabe Career ended with the Classic Car show in Beaulieu which was very different as we were not in our usual Lycra but some classic 50's outfits, here is a photo.
Well its time to hang up the Lycra :) But I have had so much fun and have many great memories and a Calender and pictures to remind me of these great memories. Its been a wonderful experience that I will never forget!!!
alt='Jade' title='Jade' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>Christmas with Jade
Well this was the sight that I woke up to on christmas morning, My sack full of presents at the end of my bed.
So I took my presents took them downstairs with the rest of the family and opened them, I didnt know what to open first.
I got some lovely presents, you can mainly just see wrapping paper, but there are presents under there, I just open and chuck the paper all over the place.
I love Pjama and everyone knows that cause I got 3 sets. here are my favourite ones from my boyfriend, they have holly and little robins all over them.
Then after all the presents have been opened we get ready for christmas Dinner. here is the table all set.
And look at this (yum yum!!) This was my christmas dinner, Im not a fan of vegetables but I have a few to add a little colour to my plate otherwise its just looks boring.
Then for the rest of the afternoon we just sat about watching Only Fools and Horses. And this is at the end of the night when we were roasting chestnuts.
I hope you all have a wonderful and magical Christmas and a Excellent New year aswell.
Well we have seen our fair share of snow this winter, and its been so beautiful, and we are getting even more now. Lots of people hate the snow, but I love it!
This is a Picture of my garden when it was at its most glorious before Christmas.
One day me, my mum and brother and our dog Bella, went for a walk in the woods in our village and it could only be described as a winter wonderland.
This is when my brother nearly fell over again. he did fall right on his face, but my camera was not ready.
You used to be able to walk through fine, but the snow had made the trees all heavy and drape over the pathway so you had to walk under little snow arches.
This is me in the snowy trees.
It was lovely having snow for Christmas I hope we get the same next year.
alt='k4cs' title='k4cs' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>Classic Car Show Birmingham
Me and Emma attended the Classic Car Show in Birmingham on the 13th 14th and 15th of November. We set off straight from work on the 13th, after a few issues with the hire car, like not being able to find out where the lights were or the reverse gear... but eventually set off to Birmingham City airport which is apparently where our hotel was located... although the sat nav did have a few issues helping us find it so i decided to use Kay Nav and found it myself.
We got up bright and early on the Friday morning and made our way to the NEC to set up our stand in our 50's style outfits and big hair!
The first day we were rushed off our feat and i was thank full that i had chosen my "work" shoes and not "sexy" shoes... Craig Darwin kept us upbeat through out the day with his random comments and generally random behaviour. We had a few photo opportunities on the first day and were well received the 50's style outfits seem to go down well with everyone and we had some great pictures taken with some black and white classics with CruellaDe'Ville glasses on and holding some Dalmatian dogs... stuffed ones... not real obviously.
We had a brief break in between the mayhem for some lunch where Craig continued to amuse us by trying to put brown sugar on his chips instead of brown sauce! Just one of the many things he did this weekend but too many to list unfortunately.
( Craig hard at work )
By the Saturday night we were planning a big night out in Birmingham, seemed rude not to see the sights whilst we were there, however me and Emma chickened out as soon as we got back to the hotel after a glass of wine we wanted Birmingham bed not Birmingham bars! So we left the boys to it and had another early night.
Sunday came and by one o'clock my "work" shoes had turned on me and i actually wanted my slippers to walk around in for the rest of the day, but I braved it and managed to walk the rest of the day even though my feet wanted to be amputated at the end.
All in all a good show and lots of lovely cars, met lots of people and managed to get lots of quotes for the boys to deal with on the stand.

After moving into a new apartment I unfortunately had to find my beloved doggy a new home. It was very emotional and sad so to cheer me up my partner bought me two adorable kittens.
I really wanted a Siamese or an Oriental as I was told these were really loving cats. We saw an advert from a breeder to say she had some Oriental Kittens for sale so we went to have a look. We decided upon a little black girl and we have named her Cleo. She is so small and petite and has gorgeous green eyes that are absolutely mesmerising!! She loves to sit on my lap and because I'm a big softy I let her sit on the sofa on top of a hot water bottle to keep her warm, she loves that!! The breeder told us that the Orientals do not like being on their own for long periods of time as they get lonely so I thought that was a great excuse to get another one!!
So our second bundle of fluff is Jinxy (aka Mr. Jinx). One of our friends Cats had an unexpected litter so we managed to get Jinx for free. He is a big black and white ball of fur of fluff and although he is only a week older than Cleo he is huge compared to her. He is such a character and just loves to play. When we first put them together Cleo hated him, she spat and hissed at him like mad. She didn't want him anywhere near her but luckily after a couple of days they have now become firm friends (hopefully not too firm as we ourselves do not want an unexpected litter of kittens!!) A trip to the vets I think is on the cards very soon.
As I'm typing this blog Cleo and Jinx are both curled up on my lap fast asleep, I'm sure they will be waking up soon as its nearly tea time. I absolutely love them and when its time for their tea is clear to see they really love me too!
You cant beat bit a Halloween fun! And I know its mostly for kids, but any excuse to dress up and I'm in!! A few of us at work decided to get some 'wicked' costumes and although Friday is a day we already love we thought we'd just make it a little bit more fun.
I was dressed as a Pumpkin Witch, my Manager Rozi was the Bride of Death - she looked great. Pale white face, bright red lipstick, black wedding dress and vale, very scary. Leown our Supervisor not only dressed up as a Cat but also acted and sounded like one too! Meow!!
Then we had Claire and Lorna as Naughty Devils, very cute. Kayleigh was dressed as an Evil Banana, which was hilarious. Emma as a Pumpkin, Jo and Michaela as Zombies and I must say Michaela looked disgusting! I'm sure she wont mind me saying this as that was the point but OMG I couldn't look at her. She had white contact lenses and blood all over her face. Really freaked me out! Scary. Last but not least my good friend Aimee was a Zombiefied School Girl.
It was great fun, and I just couldn't resist in posting some photos!
Recently it was my friends birthday and a group of us decided to head off to London to see Grease The Musical.
We went straight from work on the Friday evening. We stayed at The Chorus Hotel near Kensington Gardens. It was a nice hotel, just down the road from Oxford Street which was a great excuse for some retail therapy. So we got up nice and early Saturday morning and headed to the shops about 9am. Primark was our first stop naturally and after that I think we went into every store on the street. We went to Hamleys the toy shop, which I absolutely loved!! They had everything and I especially loved all the cuddly bears! After about 8 hours of shopping we were sooooooo tired and hungry so we quickly grabbed a pizza from Pizza Hut. We couldn't face the walk back to the Hotel so jumped in a taxi, which I might add, we didn't have to pay for!! I think the taxi driver felt sorry for us as he could see we had a hard day shopping :-)
It was then time to get ready for our night at the theatre. We got there around 7pm and the show was fantastic. Ray Quinn ( the runner up to Leonna Lewis Xfactor) played Danny and he was really really good. He had the mannerism and swagger spot on and his voice was brilliant. The rest of the cast were great too, Sandy and the Pink Ladies were such good fun. If you love the film you would really love this. You just want to get up and dance. I didn't stop smiling from the minute the show started.
On the Sunday we went for a wander around Kensington Gardens, which was really beautiful and peaceful. There was an art exhibition being held there on that day which was a real bonus.
Hopefully before Christmas I will be going to see Phantom of the Opera and I really cant wait!
Here at Flux's we work really hard ensuring we give great customer service and one of our rewards from the management is our funded Work Outings! On this occasion we decided we wanted to do something different and with Halloween fast approaching we thought we would take a trip to the London Dungeons and scare ourselves half to death!
The dungeons are made up of various different sections and each section has its own story and very own scary looking creature to tell it to you. We had the terror of Jack the Ripper and the tale of Sweeney Todd and many more bloody and gruesome stories. The sound effects and lighting were fantastic and really made you feel as though you were really there while these horrible events were taking place.
The actors were great and the outfits and makeup were really convincing. The place really makes you jump and there were a few children there who looked petrified!!
There's a water ride there as well which takes you into a dark tunnel where creepy and nasty things jump out at you. Also the Hanging Ride which includes a free fall drop which lasts for about a second but feels like ages. One of my favourites was the Room of Mirrors, (and not because I'm vain), you feel totally disorientated and cant quite work out whats going on!!
So all in all, if you want to have a nervous breakdown then this is the place to go!!
Afterwards to relieve some stress.......... we decided to get the tube to Camden Town to have a little wander around the market and see what its all about. It was really cool, lots of unusual little shops and stalls.
You could get anything you wanted to eat from Thai to Italian, Traditional British and Chinese all being cooked in front of you. It would of made us all hungry but we just had a trip to McDonald's! If you did want to sample the food they had great seating areas, the chairs were miniature motorbikes/scooters over looking the river.
After this we all headed home back to good old Norfolk!
alt='Jade' title='Jade' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>The Work place
Well I thought you would all like to see where we are when you give us a call and what we see everyday.
The Customer Service Floor is right at the top of the building, so we have a few flights of stairs to travel up before we get to work. This is the floor.........................
This is my desk and I love it, you can bring stuff from home in and decorate it as you please to make it personal and all homey
On the right side I have a wooden theme going on, these were all made by a local wood turner and the mushroom and the hedgehog/mouse (we have not decided what this is yet) were given to me by him, and I bought the cup with Kermitt the frog in, and I bought him for 10p at a car boot sale. Bargain!!
And of course I have my photo frames, basically all the pictures are of me and my boyfriend, and you can see the Flux Fairy, I have had this every since I started, I drew this in my first week. and on the top of the photo frame, you will see Khagendra the worlds smallest man. and then you have a little photo frame with a mirror on the other side has my little dog Bella in.
Then you have my computer, and on my screen you have a few pictures of Channing Tatum (as per a previous blog....... what a hottie hehe) and David Beckham and a little kangaroo (why not hey). I kind of have a me-to-you beat theme going on in the middle.
We also have a picture of David Brent (Ricky Gervais) as I thought this was appropriate as I work in an office and its one of my favourite shows.
As we move across to the left of the desk we have a Wall-e theme we have my pot of pens and my Wall-e tin of scrap paper and Eva and then the phone, the most important piece of equipment on my desk and the Wall-e and a mirror, as the mount of times people ask if you have a mirror they can borrow is unbelievable.
So over the year various events take place for the staff at adrian flux, becoming part of the Sterling quotes team this year we decided to plan our first Big Day Out as a team...
Various ideas were brainstormed and in the end we decided that for everyone to want to take part and get involved we would take a mini adventure to Thorpe Park on the sunday .Fun for all we thought!
So as the sunday approached we all prayed for a lovely day yet in true english tradition the rain began to pour... The journey down consisted of sing alongs, sweets and a a very cosy car!
We soon arrived at Thorpe Park..hoodies went on and we prepared for a wet day ahead..
After half an hour of waiting for the others to catch up shoes were drenched, queues formed and we patiently huddled together to stop the shivering!
So eventually the fun began... or so we thought, the rain didnt leave off so the girls decided ponchos were a definate good buy!.. although not the most attractive of outfits, when it came to the log flume i think we only heard the boys complaining!!
After a few rides a few of the sterling guys made thier way to a crazy noodle bar... it seemed to be a bit of a party place what with the music blaring old school hits and the staff dancing around we settled in and chowed down to some good hot grub!
With our bellys full we then Made our way to the most awaited ride Saw.. we took a detour to the front of the queue with our fast track tickets and prepared for a scary ride!...i must say this was the highlight of my day it was amazing!! with verticle drops in the dark and the upside down drop we wanted to keep on going!...below is a little taster of the frightful saw and those lovely ponchos!
Overall i think a good day was had by all even with the rain, we kept on smiling.. heres a little picture of the team. Until the next day out!...
Well sorry about the delay, I got there in the end.
Me, Claire and Keeley made a journey to Beaulieu in the New Forsest for the Adrian Flux Classic car show and what a great day it was.
The Trip to the hotel was no problem, Keely and Claire kindly shared the driving, However the next morning getting to the actual car show was the problem, unfortunately our Sat Nav was being naughty and took us for a lovely country drive and showed us a few housing estates before we eventually made it to the show.
We Finally got to the event and it was a brilliant day the weather and the people were lovely, loads of beautiful cars and very intresting cars - look at this little one.
Now you may not of recognised us as we were not in our normal Lycra, However we did stand out in out neat 50's get up.
Well a few weeks I went to Dury's Lane in London with my mum and Auntie to see Oliver the Musical, and it was fantastic, you may remember me doing a Blog on a Dirty Dancing the Musical which I went to last year.
I dragged myself out of bed in the wee hours of the morning and made our way to the bus. The Bus journey was boring but we stopped at some services and I had a bacon Butty with lots of ketchup to wake me up.
We arrived in London at 10.50am, the show did not start until 2.30pm so we had some time to catch the sights and of course do some shopping. I was trying to save money so shopping in London was properly the worst thing I could do.
I did buy a lovely dress from a little boutique and a few things out of H&M. I looked in The Radley shop and saw a lovely black Bag but £220.00 was kinda out of my price range. I treated my Mum and Auntie to a pub lunch in The Nags head. Then we just wondered round convent garden looking at all the markets and having a look in the little shops.
Then we all had a cookie and a drink, I had an amazing Strawberry ice cream milk shake. Then we made our way to Durys lane.
Oliver was Brilliant and unfortunately all I got to take a picture of was the main screen and the start of the performance, because as soon as the flash went off, this lady shouted 'No photos in the auditorium, no photos at all times'. so this is all I have...... sorry, but I defiantly recommend it, it was tremendous.
You may remember that I done a Blog about a year ago on some Cute Labrador Puppies, well Its that time again, but this year we have some adorable Cocker Spaniels.
They are so Cute, there are 3 Black ones, 2 brown and White ones and 2 Black and White ones, and they are full of beans.
This is them having there dinner.
This is my favourite one....... she is lucky enough to have a home,
and this is Jet who also has a home.
We were Lucky enough to be there when they went outside for the first time, they went crazy!! This is me with a few of them just jumping all over me, they like to climb as high as they can and nibble at your hair.
They are all so lovely and playful.
Look at its little face, its saying 'take me home with you' this is on of the ones that does not have a home yet.
This Little boy is called Tex and My boyfriend is having this one, he is the most timid out of all the pups and as you can all agree, oh so cute.
There are 3 left, and I'm trying to persuade my family that they want one...... who wouldn't!!
alt='Charlie' title='Charlie' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>Fluxbabes on tour...

alt='Jade' title='Jade' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>Channing Tatum....... What a Hottie!!
I know this is very sad, but I would like to sing the praises of Channing Tatum, for being so ruddy Gorgeous. I make a point of watching every film that he has been in, whether it be good or bad! Here are a few films that he has been in...............
This was Channing in Coach Carter. Which was released in 2005, this stunner played Jason Lyle, its a good film where Samuel L Jackson (Coach Carter) changes the attitudes of a local Basketball team.
This is Channing in She's the Man which was released in 2006, Channing plays Duke who Olivia played by Amanda Bynes falls in love with...... and I cant say I blame her!
Channing is properly best know for his part in Step up released in 2006, he plays Tyler who is a bit of a trouble maker. He does his community service at Maryland school of Arts after he broke in one night and destroyed a stage set, and this is where he falls in Love with a Dancer who gives him a chance to perform along side her, and his Love interest in the Movie is actually his real life Partner ...... Lucky Lady!!!
This is Fighting which was released this year Channing plays Shawn, basically this film is about underground fighting in New York...... As long as he gets his top, off who cares what its abaout hehe.
The best thing about his movies he gets his top off in nearly everyone, and with a body like that who's to stop him.
And his new Film G.I.Joe: The Rise of The Cobra..... Channing Tatum is the reason this is a girls film. I cant wait to see it.
alt='Jade' title='Jade' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>Monkey World
While in Weymouth me and my boyfriend took a trip to Monkey World, the ape Rescue Centre, It was one of my favourite days, all the monkeys were so sweet, and could stand there for hours watching them. Here are a few we say on our way around.
Here are the Woolly Monkeys and they were my favourite, they were just so crazy....... obviously this one like Richard, it must have reminded him of his daddy.
Monkey World had 10 Woolly monkeys and they live in 2 separate groups, these monkeys are part of the European Endangered Species Breeding Programme.
The oldest Woolly Monkey is Xusy at 34 years old.
Well the Orangutans were so cute, and fluffy. This one was defiantly the king of the swingers.
This little one Joly was in the nursery group with four other baby Orangutans, Hisao-Ning, A-Mei, Dinda and Lingga.
There was only one Orangutan when Monkey World first opened which was Amy, who had her first baby Gordan in 1997.
The Gibbons are the Noisy ones and can be heard all over the park.
There are 5 different species of gibbons at Monkey World - Siamang, Mueller's, Golden Cheeked, agile, and Lar Gibbons.
Most of the Gibbons at the park have paired up with others of there kind.
The Stump-tailed Macaque were rescued from a British lab were they were used for asthma research.
Poor little things were caged alone indoors, unfit and over weight.
Now they have a lovely home at Monkey world with the companionship of their own kind.
Well we all know this is a little baby Chimpanzee, Monkey world has the largest group of Chimps outside of Africa.
The Chimps are split into 3 main groups, each run by the dominant male Paddy, Hananya and Butch.
The Nursery (where this little one is from) is run by foster mum Sally and one armed Lulu (who was a bit shy so could not get a picture).
Now this little Monkey is a Marmoset, and I mean tiny. There are 15 Marmosets at Monkey World, Living in male, female and family groups.
The Marmosets were rescued from British labs and also the UK Pet trade.
They do require a special diet and when several of them went to Monkey World they had nutritional bone disease and poor social skills.
Well Monkey World was great and it was lovely to see all the different kind of monkeys, Monkey world was set up in 1987 (when I was born) by Jim Cronin to provide a stable home for abused monkeys and what a great job he did. the park is forever expanding and on our trip they were in the process of building another Baby Orangutan Nursery.
Its a great day out and I would recommend it to anyone.
This year me and my boyfriend made another trip to Weymouth, we loved it so much last time we went we could not resist.
I love Weymouth and is one of my favourite places to go, the sand is lovely and the sea is blue, and with the weather that we had its was just as good as going abroad.
We arrived in Weymouth mid-day on the Sunday, we were staying at my boyfriends grandma's so we had first class treatment. Before tea we went for a walk up a very very big hill. Due to my health I could not make it all the way up the top on my own so with the help of Richard (my boyfriend) I did he gave me a piggy back half the way up. hehe.
This is my at the bottom.
The next Day was the official start of our holiday and we did loads, We went to the beach as we could not have been luckier with the weather that we had. We took a trip to the Sea Life Centre and also had a round of crazy golf... which I could have won, if Richard did not cheat.... Naughty Boy!!
This is my dipping my feet in the water, its was very cold.
At the Beach in Weymouth you have Maggie's Famous beach Donkeys, which we were lucky enough to meet.... the were so sweet, which unfortunately I was too Big to have a ride :(
There are 6 all together, Peejay, Beejay, Jasmine, Stumpy, Sparkey and Sooty. This is me with them and the cheeky one that kept sticking his tongue out!!
One day we went to Lulworth Cove, It was a very pretty place, this is me just dipping me feet in the sea - we sis not bring our swimming stuff so was unable to have a proper paddle.
For most of the holiday it was time spent at the beach, me being someone who loves shopping, i was very happy that the town was close by and the sales were on, which made my holiday that extra bit better hehe.
This is me sunbathing on the beach on the last day, unfortunately this day did leave me with an odd tan, I was starting to put sun tan lotion on one of my legs and my boyfriend perked up and said you don't want to do that or you wont get a tan, so not thinking just packed the lotion away, when I woke up the next morning I was so happy to see that one leg was red and one was fine, thankfully the tan on my right leg has faded now!!
The last night we went for a romantic meal in a very nice restaurant (that does the best peppercorn sauce yum yum) this is me having a glass of wine, I ain't normally a wine drinker (well not anymore) but Richards Grandma loves wine and its rude to say no, so every night I had a glass, so became a wino on this holiday.
Well this is the strange part of my holiday, every time me and Richard go out for a meal we always try and guess the bill and we never get it right, but I guessed it down to the last penny...... spooky hey!!!!
Last Sunday i attended a Ladies Driving Challenge at Raf Coltishall. The event was to raise funds for 'The Fire Fighters Charity' and 'Help for Heroes' . Massive thanks to all those who donated, with your help i was able to raise a total of £168 for a good cause, Excellent!
Thanks to your generosity i was able to drive 3 different types of fire engines. It was so much fun speeding round a track, lights flashing, sirens blaring thinking to myself.. life doesn't get much better than this ha ha!!
i also drove a tractor,
A quadzilla 250 buggy, which completely ruined my hair and makeup!!
A massive truck.........
But no ordinary truck, it had a playstation 3, two beds, dvd player..... you name it this trucker had it!
I also drove a military truck with a handy sunroof!!!
.....and a ride in a tank with shaun the tank man!
last but definately not least.....the sexy little Lotus which i managed to get up to 133mph before we ran out of track !! what a buzz =)
LOVED that car!! Anyone fancy buying me one hee hee???!!!
Myself and my friend Krystle, both MASSIVE fans of Madonna, were super excited to bag ourselves a couple of tickets to catch Madgy at the o2 arena London on the 4th July.
I've been an obsessive fan of Madonna since the age of 7 when i was bought my first ever cassette tape album ' The Immaculate collection' .I spent the majority of the rest of my childhood locked in my bedroom singing and making up dance routines to her tunes. My first ever C.D album was Madonna- Erotica and my love of the queen of pop continued right through to my teens when at 16 my bedroom walls were covered in posters of Madge (and the odd poster of keith from the prodigy, who i was slightly obesessed with also!!ha ha!)
I've wanted to see Madge in concert for years and years but never quite pulled my finger out and got myself some tickets as they're usually quite highly priced! As it was on my list of things to do before my big 30, (which is fast approaching) i thought i'd better get my butt in gear!!
Since it was such a special occasion, we thought we would really go to town and booked ourselves into a King Size Executive Suite at the Grand Plaza and treated ourselves to a couple of bottles of pink champagne to toast our special day!
Our seats were on the first tier just to the right of the stage so we had a brilliant view of our idol. It kicked off with paul Oakenfold who played a blinding set as the seats were gradually filling up.
Madge came out at about half nine, by this point we had been waiting for what felt like hours to see her. We could feel the tension and excitement building in the arena as the crowd started chanting 'madoooooonna' impatiently, trying to encourage her to hurry up! When she eventually arrived on stage she was sat on a throne like the Queen that she is. Krystle and I screamed, kicked off our shoes and jumped up and down like loons with our hands in the air for the next 2 hours solid! Check out my video footage...
I can honestly say it's the best concert i've ever been to, Madonna rocks......FACT! She was absoloutly amazing and i feel so lucky to have been able to see her live. When she did a tribute to Micahel Jackson i actually got quite emotional, the crowds response was so overwhelming it really touched a nerve! check out my video.......
The highlight for me was towards the end of the show when she sang 'Give it to me' and let the crown sing it while she held out her microphone. It was the most amazing feeling to look around and see every single person in the arena jumping up and down with their hands in the air singing 'GIVE IT TO ME!!!' with massive smiley faces!! I remember turning to Krystle and saying 'If i die today i'll die a happy lady' !! ha ha!
Here's some of my pics of The queen of pop in action....
alt='Jem' title='Jem' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>Kings of Leon
Last week LOG and myself went to the O2 to see Kings of Leon.
Oh. My. God. Amazing just doesn’t cover it. Awe inspiring might though. I was warned that the Upper tier at the O2 was high, but nothing prepared me for just how high – or steep! I was terrified and daren’t move out of my seat the whole time. There we’re people around us dancing and jumping around without a care for their personal safety and there I was clinging to my seat for all I was worth!!
But anyway, back to the beautiful KOL. And beautiful they are too. Although I forgot my glasses and couldn’t really see anything until they put the screens on!
They opened with Closer and Crawl then headed back to Youth & Young Manhood, Aha Shake Heartbreak and Because of the Times for a selection of their greatest tracks. They covered Taper Jean Girl, Milk, Mollys Chamber, Call Me and my personal favourite Four Kicks, to name a few! Cold Desert was also a real high for me, I just love that song. Four Kicks had to be the absolute highlight for me. I could barely speak. I’d been sat there with my fingers crossed hoping they’d play it.
Sex on Fire was awesome after the first few words they didn’t really bother to sing as we were doing it for them! Everyone was going crazy! It must be an incredible feeling to have your song sung back to you by thousands of people. If you only ever see one live act it has to be them. Without a shadow of a doubt (Although I’ve heard that Muse are face meltingly good).

On Monday LOG and I went over to Windsor for a wander around and to enjoy the sun.
It was lovely and hot so obviously the first stop was for an ice cream and a walk along the river. I have never seen so many swans all in one place, they were literally following people up and down hoping for food!
(check out my nervous smile!)
We headed into the town and as usual I dragged LOG around most of the shoe shops!
We rounded a corner and discovered a huge crowd, as we had no idea what the crowd was for being ‘tourists’ for the day we joined in the standing around! It turns out the crowd was for the return of The Queen to Windsor Castle after her birthday celebrations at Buckingham Palace.
We also took a walk through Eton and discovered a shop that went to the extreme of loving pink…so just for all you pink lovers out there here you go...
I’m not really a massive Star Trek fan, however, with all the hype that was surrounding the new film, and the rave reviews about it I couldn’t resist going to see it on the big screen. And I mean big screen! We booked tickets to the Imax in London with the biggest screen in the UK. After the weeks of waiting (we had to delay our trip by a couple of weeks due to the fact that we couldn’t book 4 seats next to each other until the film had been out a while!) the day finally dawned, beautifully sunny and warm…and we had tickets to sit indoors in the dark for a couple of hours! Great timing!
I’d never been to an Imax before so had no idea what to expect. I almost felt like I was queuing for a ride at a theme park I was that excited! I still can’t quite grasp how big the screen was! It was massive!
Before the film started a man stood at the side under a spotlight and advised us there would be a lightshow, some trailers and then the film. An announcer for a film! Brilliant!
The film is brilliant and I’d really recommend seeing it. It got a bit confusing at one point with all the time travel and several Spocks, but that aside I loved it! The best thing about it is that you don’t have to be a Star Trek geek to understand whats going on and to enjoy it. There’s some laughs, some emotional bits and plenty of action! Simon Pegg is excellent as Scotty, not to mention the giggles at Checkov trying to pronounce his ‘V’s’! Luckily when we came out the sun was still shining so we walked along the river and enjoyed a beer while watching the several police helicopters that appeared to just be chasing each other around the sky. Random.
Star Trek is definitely worth a watch. The Imax is an awesome cinema experience too….I’m so seeing Harry Potter there!
Help For Heroes is a charity launched in October 2007, by a group of friends and service relations who wished to do something to help the wounded coming back from Afghanistan and Iraq. The men and women of the armed forces would say that they are not heroes, they would tell you that they're just people doing their job. Help For Heroes believes that anyone who volunteers to serve in a time of war, knowing that they may risk all, is a hero. I agree! These are extraordinary people doing extraordinary things and some of them are living with the consequences for the rest of their lives.
The Fire Fighters Charity

The fire fighters charity is there for firefighters in times of need and assists over 11,000 individuals every year , providing pioneering treatment and support services.

Me and My boyfriend took an afternoon trip up to Hunstanton one Sunday, the weather was not great, it was rainy and windy.
For those who have not visited Hunstanton, its a seaside town near Kings Lynn, It has a few select shops, a fair ground and a few chippy's and some arcades and like many seaside towns, lots of seagulls.
Me and My boyfriend like going to Hunstanton, especially going to the Arcades, Richard always attempts and win my a cuddly toy from the Crane Machines, they have some me-to-you bear ones (I love tatty teddies) so he was trying to get me one of them as I love them, I think overall he spent about £20.00 ( a pound gets you 5 go's) and no luck at all, and then we realised that he was trying to get me a me-to-you bear that say 'special little Boy' after watching his many failed attempts I thought that I would try and after 2 pounds won myself the something.
So this is me with my great prize....................
However my boyfriend did not go away empty handed he did win himself this very special little red train for a very special little boy. hehe.
However I got to mock him with my amazing Bolt cuddly bear that I won after 6 attempts, Haha little red train in your face!!! hehe.
