If you listen to radio 1 I'm sure many of you have already heard a lot about the million pound bike ride that took place last week? or Eddies Marathon a day? Or maybe even seen "Let's dance for Sport Relief"? Well the Fluxbabes have decided to get involved too and take part in our local mile, 3 miles or for the uber fit girls - 6miles!
We've set a target of £300 to raise between us - so far, our colleagues at Flux HQ have been very generous, but if you would like to make a small donation please visit our sport relief team page - we would be very grateful for any amount given!
All the money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both at home and across the world's poorest countries
The mile takes place in a couple of weeks - so we will keep you posted on our progress!

Me and Emma attended the Classic Car Show in Birmingham on the 13th 14th and 15th of November. We set off straight from work on the 13th, after a few issues with the hire car, like not being able to find out where the lights were or the reverse gear... but eventually set off to Birmingham City airport which is apparently where our hotel was located... although the sat nav did have a few issues helping us find it so i decided to use Kay Nav and found it myself.
We got up bright and early on the Friday morning and made our way to the NEC to set up our stand in our 50's style outfits and big hair!
The first day we were rushed off our feat and i was thank full that i had chosen my "work" shoes and not "sexy" shoes... Craig Darwin kept us upbeat through out the day with his random comments and generally random behaviour. We had a few photo opportunities on the first day and were well received the 50's style outfits seem to go down well with everyone and we had some great pictures taken with some black and white classics with CruellaDe'Ville glasses on and holding some Dalmatian dogs... stuffed ones... not real obviously.
We had a brief break in between the mayhem for some lunch where Craig continued to amuse us by trying to put brown sugar on his chips instead of brown sauce! Just one of the many things he did this weekend but too many to list unfortunately.
( Craig hard at work )
By the Saturday night we were planning a big night out in Birmingham, seemed rude not to see the sights whilst we were there, however me and Emma chickened out as soon as we got back to the hotel after a glass of wine we wanted Birmingham bed not Birmingham bars! So we left the boys to it and had another early night.
Sunday came and by one o'clock my "work" shoes had turned on me and i actually wanted my slippers to walk around in for the rest of the day, but I braved it and managed to walk the rest of the day even though my feet wanted to be amputated at the end.
All in all a good show and lots of lovely cars, met lots of people and managed to get lots of quotes for the boys to deal with on the stand.

June 14th saw the return of the Adrian Flux French Car Show at Rockingham Raceway and for once the weather was on our side!
A lot of my work is done behind the scenes so I decided not to don the lycra again this year, but the rest of the Fluxbabes were out in force, including our new additions Emma, Kim, Megan, Kayleigh and Janine, who did a great job considering it was their first ever show!
Laura & I had the best ever experience with Opposite Lock drifting team! These guys were crazy - and despite being blinded by the smoke and covered in bits of burnt rubber it had to be the best part of my day! The babes spent a lot of time visiting the clubs and handing out some freebies...and got stuck in with the Adrian Flux F1 Competition...All in all I think everyone had a great time...I'm sure the girls will be blogging about their FCS 09 experience soon so keep your eyes peeled...
Finally, I'd just like to thank all those that were involved with the show over the weekend - everyone worked really hard to make the show a success! a big thank you to Gary & Shane for lending us their cars for the Flux Lounge - cheers guys!! and also to all those who attended for making it such a great day!

Most of the FluxBabes name their cars.
Keely has a shoe obsession and has over 150 pairs of shoes!
Gemma can’t sleep without socks on.

As you may have seen in one of my previous posts - Fast Car came over to Flux HQ to take a few pics of us 'babes and while we were all getting ready and posing from the cameras David and Nic were taking some crafty video footage throughout the day...
Look out for the article in one of the next issues of Fast Car Magazine!!
alt='Charlie' title='Charlie' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>Fast Car Photo Shoot!
Last Friday myself and a few fellow 'babes (Sammi, Jemma, Laura and one of our Newbie's Gemma) who are all from different departments, were lucky enough to be asked to represent the Fluxbabes and take part in a photo shoot for Fast Car magazine!
Not really knowing what to expect, I arrived at work with an arm full of clothes and and a car boot jam packed with shoes! and between the five of us we managed to pull together some sexy office attire!
With the help of Holly our make-up artist, Scary and Trev from Fast Car and of course Dan the photographer - it made for a really great day! and we can't wait to see the final results! I did however manage to get hold of a few of the shots so here's a little sneak preview...
So make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the next few months editions of Fast Car!
Behind the scenes videos and pics will follow shortly...
alt='Charlie' title='Charlie' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>Stoneleigh Kit Car Show
Adrian Flux have been insuring Kit Cars for years and a couple of weeks ago we sponsored the WSCC (Westfield Sports Car Club) at the Kit Car show in Stoneleigh (the biggest kit car show on the planet!) and, with a little bit of persuasion from the 'better' half, I decided it might just be worth a visit...
Not being too clued up on the whole Kit Car scene - I was surprised to see such a range of vehicles there, from this:
to this...
and I fell in love with a few of them too!...
and especially with this little beast!... : )
All in all - we had a really good day, I'd almost go as far as to say that I've been converted into a kit car enthusiast!... Almost. But I can definitely see myself whizzing around the coast in a little Kit Car on these hot summer weekends...I'm yet to be convinced on the whole fake ferrari aspect of it though, but hey - each to their own! and Ferrari or not they would still leave me and my little clio eating dust!
alt='Charlie' title='Charlie' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>French Car Show!
Adrian Flux has been the official sponsor of the French Car Show since 2001! and this year we're hoping it will be better than ever before! The show is being held at Rockingham Motor Speedway, Northants on Sunday 22nd June! and the fluxbabes will be out in force! (So there will be plenty of chances to get your photo taken with the girls!)
Once again there will be lots going on at the Flux stand; we'll have live DJs, games, competitions on our GIANT scalextrics - which was a big hit last year! There will also be Nintendo Wiis with plasma screens, a pool table and table football!! and we'll even be giving away FREE popcorn and candy floss!
You can also have a chat with some of the staff on our stand who'll be able to give you a free quote - tailored to suit your needs.
Or - if you've voted for who you want to be the next fluxbabe (see our competition page) you may already be in with a chance of winning two VIP tickets - and a brand new Sat Nav! The competition closes at the end of April - so don't forget to vote soon!!
Keep your eyes peeled for more info leading up to the event...
alt='Charlie' title='Charlie' align=right width=60 hspace=10 vspace=10'/>Honourary Fluxbabe makes history!
Sarah Bennett-Baggs has become the first female ever to pick up a class win in the Porsche Club Championship at Donnington Park on Easter Monday!
She made her debut appearance in the Adrian Flux sponsored pink Porsche 911 SC on Easter Monday and was the only girl out of a field of 34! She is now leading in Class in the Championship points and will be back out at Oulton Park very soon!
Sarah Bennett-Baggs is going to be competing in the Porsche Club Championship '08 and she'll be the only woman in the field in this highly competitive series!!
As if the bright pink Flux branded Porsche wasn't enough to catch the eye - we had to do a double take when we saw Sarah's new race suit! She's co-ordinated it to match our Fluxbabe outfits - needless to say we are very impressed! An idea for our future shows maybe?...
Adrian Flux teamed up with Sarah Bennett-Baggs (Pictured here with her awesome pink 1978 Porsche 911 SC) over a year ago to support her as she competes in numerous Championships.
She started her racing career in the inaugural Formula Women series in 2004, and has since completed three seasons of racing in Britcar Production Saloons, and Britcar, including guest races in Dutch Supercar Challenge in 2007 and two 24hr races.
We'd all like to wish her the best of Luck for her races over Easter!!
