Last Friday myself and a few fellow 'babes (Sammi, Jemma, Laura and one of our Newbie's Gemma) who are all from different departments, were lucky enough to be asked to represent the Fluxbabes and take part in a photo shoot for Fast Car magazine! Not really knowing what to expect, I arrived at work with an arm full of clothes and and a car boot jam packed with shoes! and between the five of us we managed to pull together some sexy office attire! With the help of Holly our make-up artist, Scary and Trev from Fast Car and of course Dan the photographer - it made for a really great day! and we can't wait to see the final results! I did however manage to get hold of a few of the shots so here's a little sneak preview...
So make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the next few months editions of Fast Car! Behind the scenes videos and pics will follow shortly... Labels: adrian flux, charlie, fast car magazine, fluxbabes, gemma, jemma, laura, photoshoot, sammi

In reply to Jem's previous post - Ryan Giggs!?? of all the footballers out there she opted for the hairy welsh guy? Hmmm. Admittedly in my younger years I probably had soft spot for Ian Wright! But seriously - Giggs??
He may have left the gunners now - but have you not seen this guy!...
'nuff said!!!
Giggs may have won a trophy or two this year...but when it comes to beautiful football...well we all know which team would be most worthy of that praise!... Labels: charlie, football, freddie ljungberg, ian wright, jemma, Ryan Giggs

As you've already seen from the blog we have some new fluxbabes (and might I add, all my staff - hurrah) and over the last few days they've all been having their individual shots done. I am no longer an active fluxbabe, and instead turn my hand to helping out behind the scenes and providing assistance for our marketing team. A bit of nepotism there, as it's run by my sister! Our fluxbabe Charlie works for the marketing department full time so she's often found behind the camera rather than infront of it. So today off we toddled to do one of the new girls pictures and we thought it necessary to test the lighting first.
Above: Charlie and I in a very non flux babe pose Above: Now this IS a pose, for the next calendar perhaps?
You can look forward to seeing some genuine shots shortly when we get the new babes pics on here. It wont be long!

At the begining of April it was my 25th (cough cough, oh alright 27th) birthday and so to celebrate I decided it was best spread it over 2 weekends.
The first weekend was spent down in St Albans and London, with me being taken out for a suprise birthday day. The suprise came in two parts - the first was that we opened the curtains in the morning to snow - lots of snow. The second was that we were headed to London Zoo (somewhere I've been wanting to go for ages). After a snowy stroll through Regents Park admiring the several snowmen that people seemed to have made in record time (it was about 10:30am), we arrived at the Zoo entrance with me being rather excited!
Due to the lack of elephants my favourite of the day was the Okapi. The Gorilla's bascially posed for photos, and the tiny monkey on the loose was entertaining. The penguins loved the weather and the giraffes seemed totally confused by it!
Then on the Monday and my return home, I wandered to the local with my family and spent the evening there. Weekend 2 involved a group of us going for a meal at Pizza Express. A large part of our time there was used with us taking several pictures (some involving the table flowers) and no-one really being that interested in the food.... A joke-off was held between LOG and 'lil McCarthy (see 'lil Mc above) - I have no idea what the winning joke was, but the 2 favourite's of the night were about snowmen smelling carrots and 3 pieces of tarmac. Our very own Charlie also made a beautiful snowflake with her napkin - but wouldn't have her picture taken with it! Jenny kept asking for extra vodka...our self-confessed highly accident prone babe managed to end the night in one peice - despite the rather high heels.... This weekend may be a quiet one.... Thanks to all who celebrated with me - LOG, Leah ('lil Mc), babes Jen and Charlie, possible future babe Keely, Caroline, Fliss and Jay and the Okapi. x Labels: babes, birthday, charlie, jenny, Keely, London Zoo

A couple of weekends ago 3 of us ‘babes’ teamed up with Volksworld Insurance Services and morphed into Volksworld Insurance Services Babes for the 2-day show held at Sandown Park (L-R – Laura, Charlie & Jem) In true March form, it was a rainy weekend but luckily our stand was indoors (good job considering our outfits!) and we were surrounded by some amazing bugs and buses, of which we still can’t decide our favourite! However, the weather didn’t stop the huge turnout – or those camping! The show had a great atmosphere and we got the chance to get out of the office and meet some great people. Our lovely Laura also presented the winners their trophies at the end of the show! Check out our video ( A special thank you must go to the man who brought us bottles of water and the guys who supplied the chocolate to keep us going!!
Not to mention at big thank you to the VWIS guys for looking after us and letting us steal their Volksworld hoodies – they were much appreciated!
We hope to see you all again next year!
NB – Apologies for the lack of beetle key rings….delivery issues….
